HERR RIBISEL AND HIS ORCHESTRA WE – THAT ARE JAROSLAV HRBACEK, JAY SORDYL AND A TEAM OF LOVELY COLLEAGUES.
EAT WHAT YOU LOVE: This motto shines like a bright logo above our vision to be one of Berlin’s best caterers. In our work, we keep that in mind every day. Why? Because we are convinced that every meeting, every celebration, every adventure starts in the belly – all the more reason to create unique culinary moments for you and your guests. And there’s no harm in trying to get a little bit better every time…
Our story started almost 20 years ago out of pure love for food. Delicious food. Jaroslav knew back then that Berlin was in need of lively, modern and contemporary catering. And low and behold, he turned out to be right. After only one year in business, the Tagesspiegel awarded us in the top three catering services in Berlin.
BERLIN NEEDS CATERING THAT SPARKLES
Of course Jaroslav isn’t cooking up a storm on his own: in 2019, Jay Sordyl joined the management team after a 20 year stint in London. Coming from an events background, Jay has spent 5 years at MGM and 15 at the BBC and she’s now helping the team to bring a bit of sparkle to the catering world in Berlin.
Just like for Jaroslav and Jay, the whole crew at Herr Ribisel is only content, when everyone is happy. For us, good catering means creating delicious food as well as delivering a rather fabulous service.
SUSTAINABILITY WITH HERR RIBISEL.
For the family at Herr Ribisel, that holiday feeling is always in mind. To put it differently: our work is based on respect, fairness and a healthy dose of humour. We’ve created an environment that is open, kind, full of passion for yummy food – and one that is fun to work in.
Also, we try to be conscious of the resources we use. An exotic menu created with ingredients of far flung places can be quite tempting. Thing is, living in Germany it is often not, well, ethical? We prefer to think regional, seasonal and at the same time special: Herr Ribisel tinkers with every catering until sensational dishes are created with organic ingredients (not always possible but where we can…) and meat from controlled origins. We are trying for sustainable catering to be a thing. We also purchase green electricity from Greenpeace Energy and we work together with a non-food supplier that fulfils its social responsibility as an integration company. Bottom line is, we can’t change the world but we try take some responsibility…
